Tennessee State and Regional Compensation & Benefits Surveys Published

    November 2, 2016, in partnership with the Tennessee Valley HR Association, has published the 2016 - 2017 State of Tennessee Salary, Wage & Benefits Survey along with East and Middle Tennessee surveys.   Data was collected from 75 Tennessee employers representing 1,319,430 employees with 37,900 employees in the survey area.   The wages reported were those in effect June 2016.

    The report includes pay data for more than 320 positions in 17 functional areas.   Compensation is broken down by geographic region, union status, industry, the company's sales/assets, and by the number of employees in the company.   In addition, the compensation reports include hire rate, weighted rate, pay range and bonus.

    Benefits reports cover merit increase and turnover; a list of benefits offered by organizations; vacation, absence and holiday practices; medical, life and dental; short and long term disability plans; deferred compensation and savings plans; work schedule and shift pay; and employment and pay practices. together with our partners Effective Resources Inc., an HR consulting and research firm based in Knoxville, Tennessee, conducted the study during the month of August, 2016.  To protect confidentiality of individual responses, data for jobs with limited incumbents and/or limited participating companies have been suppressed.
